The Cannabis industry went into a slight frenzy on December 14, 2016 when the DEA issued a final rule about the coding of marijuana extracts. Many people, as well as mainstream media went around proclaiming even Hemp-derived CBD is now illegal as a schedule 1 substance. Not only is this false, it is wrong to misinform people about the safest "drug" we know of, that can be accessed in all 50 states. It is non-psychoactive, non addicting, natural and legal!
We believe the DEA ruling was not directed at Hemp-derived CBD and is just administrative action related to record keeping for the marijuana industry.
Hemp-derived CBD is still legal Sec. 7606 of the Farm Bill defines hemp as distinct from marijuana and does not treat it as a controlled substance when grown under a compliant state program.
